

Whilst writing I just wanted to express my deepest thanks to you and the rest of the team at Whitehorn & Guard. From the moment Andy came out to visit me, to the final emails on the completion date, you have all been great. Unlike the previous agent who made all sorts of outrageous promises to sign me up, and then started to leave end of the world voicemails on my phone telling me to accept low offers for my house because the market was going to crash, you have always been very honest with me and extremely professional. You had a very tough brief as the previous agent had convinced me to reduce the price of my house, leaving you with little negotiating margin to my minimum price, but that didn't seem to phase you and you were more than willing to take up the challenge. When I came into your office to drop off some paperwork, you were all very friendly and importantly, very positive, but without being cocky. In terms of the viewings and feedback, I think I only ended up having two viewings with yourselves, but I was very impressed with the way you approached them. The other agent seemed to drag every Tom, Dick and Harry through the house, regardless of whether they would be suitable or not. The offers that came in ranged between low and derisory and I was then bullied into accepting an offer that I was not comfortable with. You on the other hand, took your time to find the right potential buyers meaning that the first person very nearly made an offer and the second people did, and went on to completion. Whilst I wasn't actually there, you also seemed to actually work harder at the viewings whereas the others pretty much opened the front door then left them too it, after turning up late. Repeatedly. When the offer came in, rather than trying to push me down, you actually told me that you wanted to reject the initial offer as you thought they would pay more! To say I was gobsmacked was an understatement, but true to your word you were able to negotiate an extra £1,500 on to the offer leaving me just £1,000 below my asking price. But the good work didn't stop there. Where you really came into your own was sorting out the next steps. Without going into great detail, things didn't exactly run smoothly as we appeared to be somewhat misled by others in the chain. This caused me considerable concern and extra work and as a result you ended up taking quite a few phone calls from me. You worked extremely hard to get the rest of the chain into line, particularly in the last couple of weeks and had it not been for your hard work and tenacity, the completion date would have drifted into February. I am enormously grateful that it was yourselves and not the other company that was handling this part of the process or I dread to think what would have happened. In summary, I would be happy to go on record or be used in your literature to express my massive thanks to you personally and to the rest of the team that supported you. You worked tirelessly and even at the most stressful times remained polite, helpful and reassuring. Your customer service is some of the best I have experienced and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend you to other potential sellers or buyers. You may not be number one in Hedge End in terms of sales numbers, but you are light years ahead in terms of service offered. I'm sure that if you keep doing what you're doing you will soon be number in terms of sales also, and that will be thoroughly deserved.
